- The Sussexes are potentially heading to England (Meghan's first visit in years!) for the Invictus Games.
- King Charles is allegedly considering offering them his beloved estate, Highgrove.
- Meghan Markle and Prince Harry previously owned a home in England, but were forced to give it up.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might make their long-awaited return to United Kingdom (potentially with their kids!) for the Invictus Games, and it looks like King Charles is ready to make amends after years of feuding.
According to the Daily Mail (via The Express), the King is potentially offering Meghan and Harry accommodation while they're in town. Specifically at Highgrove House, his beloved country estate where they'll have a ton of privacy. Reminder: Meghan and Harry used to have a residence in the U.K. (Frogmore Cottage), but were forced to give it up when they officially stepped away from royal duties and moved to America.
"There's a good chance that they will stay at a royal residence during a U.K. stay that includes Invictus events if the current thaw in family relations continues," a source said.
Circling back to the Invictus Games real quick, it sounds like Prince Harry also extended an olive branch to his dad and asked him to open the games. Per a source in The Sun, "Prince Harry desperately wants Charles at Invictus—and he wants him to open the games alongside him. Harry wants it to happen both for the games, and for their relationship. It’s his dream to have his father by his side. People helping to plan the games are convinced it will happen and are planning for Charles to play a role in the opening ceremony."
Meanwhile, someone told the Daily Beast that Charles is considering opening the games "much to the chagrin of William" and that "friends of William want the King’s team to rebut the invitation before it takes legs."
